SOC 215 - Social Issues

Outcome 1:

To acquire a basic knowledge and understanding of social problems and the sociological approach to social problems, including the major concepts and theories.

Outcome 2:

To apply core sociological theories to specific social problems in order to analyze social problems.

Outcome 3:

To understand basic sociological methods and apply them in order to view social problems more objectively and critically.

Outcome 4:

to examine current and potential policies which seek to remedy social problems.
