Outcome 1:
Students will demonstrate an understanding of the influence of the social world on development of the self, and the impact of individuals on the social world.
Outcome 2:
Students will express an understanding of selected areas of sociological social psychology including socialization, interpersonal attraction, aggression, prejudice, altruism, attitudes and attitude change, person perception, conformity, compliance, obedience, groups and collective behavior, and social movements.
Outcome 3:
Students will apply core socialogical theories to the study of social psychology, including conflict theory, functionalism, and with emphasis on symbolic interactionism.
Outcome 4.
Students will demonstrate an understanding of sociological terms and concepts related to the study of sociological social psychology.
Outcome 5.
Students will examine and evaluate sociologically based perspective regarding social psychology.
Outcome 6.
Students will provide analyses of the study of sociological social psychology through formal writing as well as in small group discussion.
