Economics

Economics is the study of society's material behavior -- how society produces, distributes, and consumes goods and services. In the American economy, the market brings together supply and demand to determine what to produce, how to produce, and who receives final production. Coursework includes Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and U.S. Economic History. A degree in Economics provides excellent preparation for careers in business, education, journalism, government and research. In addition, a degree in Economics is good preparation for graduate programs in Economics, Public Policy, International Studies, and Law.

See a suggested course of study for students interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree in economics.
